Triangle Capella 2 Streaming System
Triangle reveals full Capella 2 streaming system details, including new matching turntable...
Triangle, the acclaimed French loudspeaker manufacturer, has announced full details and availability of its Capella 2 premium active wireless speaker system. Capella 2 combines over 40 years of acoustic expertise with the latest music-streaming technology, room calibration, and stunning matching stand and turntable options.
Five colours, precision-made in France
Capella 2 also showcases Triangle’s timeless French style and exceptional build quality. The speakers are made in Triangle’s specialist facility in Soissons, 100km from Paris, by skilled craftspeople who’ve spent decades refining their art.
It is available in five finishes – Space White, Space Black, Astral Blue, English Green (pictured) and Oak – each featuring high-quality lacquer cabinetry and anodised aluminium accents. Each finish is designed to complement a wide range of interior styles, from the boldly contemporary to the warmly traditional, and can be paired with perfectly matched SO5 speaker stands and Lunar 3 turntables, including a brand new green edition.
A Worthy Successor
The original Capella earned widespread praise for its versatility and musicality. The Capella 2 builds on that foundation with a more intuitive, more capable and more fully featured system - one that Triangle believes raises the bar for what an active wireless speaker can achieve at this price point.
The result is a complete, all-in-one system capable of reproducing every musical nuance with both power and delicacy, from the deepest bass to the finest high-frequency detail.
Total Wireless Freedom — Powered by WiSA
At the heart of the system is the new Stereo Hub 2, a network player and wireless transmitter powered by WiSA technology. WiSA provides a completely cable-free connection between the hub and the speakers, transmitting high-resolution audio that is 100% faithful to the original signal and with no perceptible latency.
All sources connect to this single external hub, which means the speakers themselves require no interconnecting cables whatsoever. This elegant solution provides complete freedom of placement - the Capella 2 can be positioned wherever sounds and looks best, without compromise.
Streaming, Vinyl, TV — Remarkable Versatility
The Capella 2 supports virtually every source a modern listener is likely to use. Wireless streaming is available via Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi, with high-resolution audio up to 24-bit/192kHz from smartphones, tablets or computers. The system is fully compatible with AirPlay 2, Chromecast, Spotify Connect Lossless, Tidal Connect, Roon Ready and UPnP/DLNA for NAS or computer-based music libraries.
For wired sources, the Stereo Hub 2 offers an unusually comprehensive array of connections: HDMI with eARC and CEC for television; coaxial and three optical S/PDIF digital inputs; USB-B for computer audio; RCA stereo and 3.5mm analogue inputs. A dedicated subwoofer output, fully adjustable via the Triangle Capella app, allows the system to be expanded for an even deeper and more impactful low-frequency performance.
The New Stereo Hub 2
The Stereo Hub 2 is a significant upgrade on its predecessor. Driven by a Cortex A53 Quad-Core processor running at 1.5GHz, the hub is noticeably more responsive and fluid in use. New features include a dedicated subwoofer output, an RJ45 Ethernet port for a stable wired network connection, native support for Spotify Lossless, Tidal Connect and Roon Ready, and a new radio-frequency remote control that charges via USB-C.
Automatic Room Calibration
The Capella 2 includes an automatic room calibration system that analyses the acoustic properties of the listening space and adjusts the speaker's response accordingly. Calibration is performed via iOS devices or the optional Zen calibration microphone. For those who prefer a more hands-on approach, a full manual equaliser is also available through the Triangle Capella app, available for both iOS and Android.
100 Watts Per Speaker - Cutting-Edge Acoustic Engineering
Each Capella 2 speaker delivers 100W of Class D bi-amplification, with a dedicated amplifier and digital converter for each driver. A DSP continuously optimises driver performance while protecting the components from overload - an arrangement that yields genuinely outstanding dynamics for a speaker of this size.
The 165mm (6.5") mid-woofer uses a proprietary natural cellulose pulp membrane – long a Triangle hallmark this unique design is prized for its neutral, colourless reproduction and its particularly natural vocal delivery. The driver sits on a ventilated aluminium chassis with a half-roller suspension that delivers open, dynamic bass without compromising midrange clarity.
The TZ2530MG horn tweeter, another signature Triangle design, uses a new 25mm magnesium/aluminium alloy dome. It projects sound evenly, producing smooth, extended highs that are entirely free of harshness or fatigue.
A downward-firing bass reflex port provides uniform low-frequency dispersion without any impact on vocal clarity. The curved cabinet, combined with a structured silicone trim, reduces sound wave diffraction, while Triangle's proprietary DVAS (Driver Vibration Absorption System) internal bracing minimises resonances that would otherwise colour the sound.
Lunar 3 – Ready to play turntable partner
Made in collaboration with Pro-Ject, the £699 Lunar 3 features a straight tonearm made from a single piece of carbon weighing 6g, giving it the advantage of being both exceptionally light and rigid to reduce unwanted vibrations. It comes ready to play with a built-in moving-magnet (MM) phono preamp, Ortofon 2M Red MM cartridge and an RCA phono cable to connect to the Capella 2 wireless stereo hub. High-quality gold plating is used on both the turntable’s outlets as well as the cable connectors. A speed selection switch sits neatly under the left front panel, allowing you to play at 33, 45 or 78rpm.

Capella 2 is making its UK debut today at the Bristol Hi-Fi Show, where it will also be available for order. The speakers and its matching partners will be widely available from a range of retailers worldwide in March.
