Arendal Sound Celebrates 10 Years of Speaker Excellence with Stunning Limited-Edition Rosewood Design

Arendal Sound celebrates 10 years of speaker excellence with stunning limited-edition rosewood design...

Arendal Sound is celebrating its first decade with the launch of the 1528 Tower 8 Limited 10th Anniversary Edition, a visually and sonically stunning loudspeaker combining engineering precision, Norwegian design heritage, and collector-worthy exclusivity. Created not just to mark a milestone, but to honour the customers who enabled it, just 25 numbered pairs of the exquisitely piano-lacquered rosewood speakers will be made.

Jan Ove Lassesen, Arendal Sound’s Founder & CEO, says: “This speaker is a thank you. We’ve spent 10 years building something we believe in, and this is our way of celebrating that with the people who’ve made it possible.”

Like all Arendal Sound speakers, the 1528 Tower 8 Limited 10th Anniversary Edition will be available to buy directly from the brand – delivering consumers the very best value.

A very special edition
As well as the classic rosewood cabinet – its 12 layers of piano lacquer painstakingly polished to a soft sheen – the 1528 Tower 8 Limited 10th Anniversary Edition features a satin-black front baffle, plus satin-black waveguide assembly, woofer trim rings, and base bars. The speakers come with Puck Pro feet as an upgrade to the standard-edition’s Puck Plus feet.

Each of the 50 speakers in the 25 limited-edition pairs is individually numbered, featuring a chrome-plated stainless steel rear plaque with laser-etched serial and signature from CEO, Jan Ove Lassesen. They also come with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Arendal Sound’s Chief Technical Officer Thomas Gunvaldsen.

To add to the exclusivity, rosewood’s natural grain variations mean no two speakers will be exactly alike; each is a unique organic design.
Gunvaldsen comments: “Every choice in this edition reflects what we stand for: precision, pride, and joy in the sound itself.”

1528 Tower 8 – Reference-quality performance
Beneath its very special-edition exterior lies the technical excellence that makes the 1528 8 the flagship model in Arendal Sound’s award-winning speaker range. With its 3-Way design, it features a 28mm lithium-magnesium tweeter, 5in carbon-graphene midrange, and quad 8in aluminium bass drivers – combining to deliver crisp highs, rich mids, and powerful, dynamic bass.

The 1528 Tower 8’s precision-engineered, 85mm thick, time-aligned driver baffle delivers every note with remarkable accuracy, creating a coherent and dynamic listening experience. The curved baffle design aligns multiple drivers to the listening position effortlessly, reducing crossover design complexity and preserving sound purity. This innovative approach ensures every musical detail reaches the listener in-phase and with minimal interference.

Norwegian Wood: an iconic design heritage
During the 1950s and 1960s, Norway become synonymous with modernist furniture, choosing rosewood for its durability, deep richness and striking grain – attributes that complemented the elegant yet functional ethos of Scandinavian design. Norwegian designers and manufacturers embraced clean lines and high-quality materials, blending functionality with timeless aesthetics – producing iconic products such as Hans Brattrud’s widely imitated Scandia chair and Torbjørn Afdal’s Krobo bench. It is a design heritage Arendal Sound is proud to be inspired by.
