The famous ADOT MC-01 series fibre optic network isolation devices were designed for HiFi systems with an SFP port on the dataswitch. This of course includes the Melco / DELA S100 and S1, and several other high end audiophile switches.
However not all switches have SFP ports, and so the ADOT Dual kit uses two media converters back to back to achieve optical isolation for environments that are only RJ45 and not SFP. Works very well and enjoyed by many users worldwide.
To simplify using ADOT technology for users who have switches using only Ethernet RJ45 connectors, or even using only the RJ45 connectors on their router, ADOT has designed the ONI-100.
The technology is ADOT without compromise, using optical fibre to totally isolate the HiFi system from electrical noise picked up by the antenna that is the mass of network wiring in most homes. However the conversion from copper cable (RJ45) to optical and back to copper is all within a single convenient device – the ADOT ONI-100.
Isolating the network noise is as simple as removing the residential network cable from the audio device (switch or player) and plugging into the AOI-100. A high quality RJ45 Ethernet cable now connects to the audio device and the electrical noise is removed.
The ONI-100 is powered with a small linear plug top power supply which can be upgraded to a low noise linear supply for even better results.
Similar performance to the ADOT MC-02 Dual, but much tidier and more convenient when the audio switch does not have SFP connections.
Ideal for isolating the network at the Router location, or within the HiFi or A-V rack; the HiFi system is now free of electrical noise for markedly improved sound quality whether streaming or locally stored files.
Attention to detail includes a chassis grounding post for defining the ground when using other IT devices which have no ground reference, as well as vibration reducing feet. The ONI-100 can be free standing, DIN rail mounted or fixed to a cabinet or rack using the supplied mini-rack ears.
