26 September 2025, Cambridgeshire, UK: AVID, the British founder-owned and operated analogue hi-fi manufacturer, will be exhibiting at The UK Hi-Fi Show Live this weekend in Ascot, SurreyThe company will debut a significant update to one of its preamplifiers and showcase a selection of its British-made turntables and integrated amplifiers.

The show marks the world debut of the updated Celsus preamp, ahead of its official launch later in the year. This revised model, which will be shown in pre-production form,incorporates reengineered ALPS RK50 volume controlwhich AVID has cleverly repurposed for remote operation at its factory in Cambridgeshire.

The Celsus is a fully balanced, two-box preamplifier, featuring a separate high-quality power supply. The design integrates a high-performance AVID Pulsare II phono stage alongside four line-level inputs. The two-box approach is employed to protect critical audio signals from electromagnetic interference, thereby lowering the noise floor and preserving signal fidelity.
