Monitor Audio Group Partners with Museum of Youth Culture to Launch the World’s First Museum Dedicated to Youth Culture...

A century of youth culture preserved and curated, with dedicated high-fidelity sound by British independent audio manufacturer, Monitor Audio Group.

Essex, UK – 1st Sept 2025: The UK’s largest Independently owned specialist audio manufacturer, Monitor Audio Group is thrilled to announce an exclusive partnership with the Museum of Youth Culture, a new London-based Museum, opening in December, dedicated to documenting and preserving the stories, styles, and sounds that have defined youth culture for generations. This collaboration unites two institutions committed to elevating and preserving materials, sights, and sounds across 100-years of teenage life.

The partnership aims to celebrate the vibrant relationship between music, audio technology, and youth culture. It will encompass several initiatives over the next year, including engaging exhibitions, interactive listening experiences, and youth-led workshops. Together, Monitor Audio Group and the Museum of Youth Culture will explore how music and sound have influenced youth identity and expression, with a special emphasis on British and global music scenes from the post-war era to the present day.

Across the 6500sq ft site in Camden, close to the iconic subculture heritage of Camden High Street, Monitor Audio Group has carefully selected speakers from its award-winning Architectural Series portfolio to complement the museum’s urban, industrial aesthetic. Climate Series 3G CL2 M speakers in sleek black seamlessly blend throughout the space, while the powerful THX Ultra Certified, Cinergy Series delivers impactful, large-scale audio in areas where visuals and sound work together to tell the story of youth culture. Across the museum, MAG’s cutting-edge Installation Amplifiers 2G and streaming amplifiers deliver the flexibility to zone audio for different curated exhibitions, ensuring each space has its own unique atmosphere, where sound is not just an accompaniment, it is an integral part of the storytelling, enriching the visitor experience and helping the Museum of Youth Culture truly resonate with its visitors.

“We’re excited to partner with the Museum of Youth Culture to bring a new dimension of sound to their incredible collections,” said Michael Johnson, Global Marketing Director of Monitor Audio Group. “Our commitment to quality audio aligns perfectly with the museum’s mission to preserve and celebrate youth culture. This partnership is a fantastic opportunity to connect with music lovers of all ages and provide a rich, authentic listening experience that brings the stories and exhibits of youth culture to life.”

Jon Swinstead, Founder of The Museum of Youth Culture states, "Monitor Audio has transformed how visitors can experience our exhibitions. Now they don’t just see youth culture, they can hear and feel it. We aren’t stuffy, this is a museum with a small ‘m’. We’re creating spaces that tell stories of who we are. Youth culture drives innovation, challenges norms and creates communities. It’s why MOYC matters, and why we want everyone to be part of it."

In addition to in-museum installations, the partnership will extend to a series of digital and community initiatives aimed at making the museum’s collections and Monitor Audio’s technology accessible to a broader audience.

The partnership between Monitor Audio Group and the Museum of Youth Culture reflects both organisations’ dedication to the idea that sound and music are not just entertainment, they’re integral to our shared cultural heritage.
