FURUTECH LAUNCHES NEW FLOW-28 NCF INLINE POWER FILTER
Furutech proudly announces the release of the new Flow-28 NCF inline power filter, with integrated radio frequency interference (RFI) and electromagnetic interference (EMI) filtering – a high-performance, cost-effective solution that draws on more than 15 years of technical innovation and refinement in the company’s inline filter series.
Designed to be positioned between power cables and power distributors, or power cables and components, the new Flow-28 NCF effectively eliminates both RFI and EMI from your power supply. It protects against distortion caused by ground noise, voltage spikes and sags, high frequency power supply noise from other components in your own system, plus high frequency digital noise from processors and digital interconnects. - An AC-1501(R) EMI-filtering input, featuring a parallel circuit with inline coil and condenser, reducing noise by 10dB at 1MHz and by more than 30dB at 10MHz.
- Furutech’s proprietary passive GC-303 EMI filtering material.
- Furutech’s rhodium-plated, ‘Alpha-treated’, FI-28(R) NCF connector, designed to ensure a secure and reliable connection to your equipment. The connector’s body includes Furutech’s proprietary NCF (Nano Crystal2 Formula), an active damping material that eliminates static and mechanical and electrical vibration. The body’s design combines NCF with two additional active materials – nano-sized ceramic particles and powdered carbon – inside a nylon and fiberglass shell, to create a highly mechanically and electrically damped system. ‘Alpha treatment’ refers to Furutech’s two-stage ‘Alpha’ cryogenic freezing and patented Ring Demagnetization metal treatment process, which enables superior conductivity and signal integrity.
- Furutech’s patented ‘Floating Field Damper’, which acts as an earth/ground jumper system. When current flows through a cable and its connector, magnetic and electrostatic fields are generated that can induce electrical currents in small metal parts, such as the screws that hold the connector shell together. These currents create ‘floating’ magnetic fields around those small parts, which interfere with the larger magnetic field surrounding the cable and connector, leading to noise and distortion. Furutech’s ‘Floating Field Damper’ addresses this by grounding the metal parts where these floating magnetic fields are induced, thus significantly reducing electromagnetic vibration.
- A patent-pending metal cable clamp designed to improve grip and to further reduce mechanically- and electrically-induced distortion.
