The Stereonet HiFi & AV Expo 2026 Report

This will be my second time visiting the Radisson Hotel at Heathrow; I first attended the London Audio Show 2 years ago, in 2024, and thoroughly enjoyed it, so I was looking forward to this event, now run by the Stereonet UK team. This venue is perfect from a visitor and press point of view: it spans 1 level of the hotel, covers a large area, and is still easy to cover in 1 day.

What made this show even better for us audiophiles was that it was completely free to enter, and given the time and money that goes into making these types of shows happen, it was certainly worth a visit, with so many exciting brands exhibiting and supporting the HiFi industry. It took place over 2 days, Saturday 12th September and Sunday the 13th, with on-site parking available. The hotel also had great food and drink facilities, which offered a welcome break from all the walking.

D'Von Audio and Ultrafide Audio Room

My first stop was the D'Von Audio and Ultrafide Audio room. I've reviewed D'Von Audio speakers before for The Speaker Shack and know Chris Priddle can design and build great-sounding speakers. Still, I had no idea he was working on a flagship model that had its first public showing, and it did not disappoint. This flagship model delivers great sound and looks unique, featuring 4 ceramic mid-bass drivers and a ceramic tweeter with a horn-shaped waveguide. Ultrafide Audio partnered with them, pairing the speakers with their huge 1000-watt-per-channel stereo amplifier, and the system produced great music with plenty of bass. Each of its 4 drivers has its own chamber within the speaker enclosure to reduce colouration and interaction between drivers. A very impressive system and well worth a visit.

Kerr Acoustics Room

I have listened to Kerr Acoustic speakers on many occasions, and they never disappoint. They make stunning speakers, and at the show Jes demoed his new K400 speakers, the smallest in their range but by no means lacking in quality or the sound that you hear from these transmission line speakers. The finish was stunning, and I absolutely loved the new high-gloss burnt orange. They were paired with the InTune speaker stands and Cyrus Audio 40 Series electronics, and they powered the K400's effortlessly and sound very good together; all cabling was supplied by the Chord Company. The bass was incredibly tight and tuneful from these smaller monitors, and they also delivered great resolution and clarity. I thoroughly enjoyed this room and made a few visits to listen.

Sound Design Distribution Room

My next stop was the Sound Design Distribution room, one of the larger demo rooms, featuring an incredible system from Grimm Audio and Onkk Products. In my opinion, this was the best sound of the show; the system sounded glorious with whatever music they played. It featured Grimm Audio's new PA1 mono amplifiers and also their prototype speakers, which they developed specifically for these new amplifiers. I was told the speakers will eventually be available. They sounded sublime and seemed to disappear, creating a huge holographic image of the music in front of me. I have listened to the Onkk turntable before, and it really is one of the best Turntables I have heard. They played an Isaac Hayes album, Black Moses, which sounded incredible, and as soon as I got back home, I ordered a copy on vinyl. I visited this room on many occasions because it sounded so good.

The new Accuvoice Stream S3 Speakers Room

My next room was with the new Accuvoice Stream S3 speakers. I have had them here at The Speaker Shack for the last few weeks and have been enjoying the music that these stunning new wireless active speakers present. My full review is now on my site HERE if you want to read it, but at the show they demoed music played on Blu-ray on the massive OLED screen. These speakers are different from the wireless speakers I've used before, as they use the WiSA (Wireless Speaker and Audio) standard and transmit up to 24-bit, 96 kHz high-resolution audio from the WiSA hub. In this demo, they used the HDMI ARC audio return channel connection, and it sounded superb with the Eagles concert and the iconic track Hotel California, which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Origin Live Room

My next room was the Origin Live Room, where they demonstrated one of their turntables and played a firm favourite of mine, the Herb Alpert album Rise, on vinyl. This is a record I listen to on my system at home, and it sounded superb; they also had the Whest Audio phono stage paired with this system. I just upgraded to a Whest Audio, and it's so good; this system sounded very nice with a pair of vintage speakers powered by the D'Agostino Pendulum integrated amplifier. 

AirT Audio Room

The AirT Audio room had a stunning system: a pair of Avalon Acoustic speakers paired with Vitus Audio, a J.Sikora turntable and Doshi, plus an RTR tape deck for visitors to demo. This room sounded very good indeed, with a big sound from those gorgeous-looking Avalon speakers. I managed to visit on a few occasions, and every time I was in there, it was extremely busy, with a constant flow of visitors; definitely worth a visit and a delight to listen to. This had to be one of the show's biggest and most costly systems.

The Renaissance Room

The Renaissance Room had a beautiful system running with gorgeous-looking Audiovector speakers, paired with Moon by Simaudio and a VPI turntable, and all wired with Nordost cables. This system looked and sounded superb, and I thoroughly enjoyed the music in this room, playing Bob Marley, one of my favourites.

Focal and Naim Audio Room

I have always enjoyed the Focal and Naim pairing as it is such a good combination, and they always impress me with their sound; this was no exception. The Naim Audio kit was their latest, with the new white illumination over the green that they always had; I think it looks very polished now, and I have grown to like it. The Focal speakers have their new midrange drivers, which again looked very nice and, most importantly, sounded excellent. I visited a few times, as it was in one of the larger rooms, and thoroughly enjoyed the music and sound from this system.

I just wanted to say a huge thanks to the Stereonet team, who managed to bring such a brilliant show to London, and to all the brands and Exhibitors who delighted us with such wonderful HiFi.

My favourite room from this year's show was most certainly the Sound Design Distribution room, which featured Grimm Audio and Onkk products. This room sounded superb, and that Isaac Hayes album Black Moses sounded sublime through this system. I even bought a copy, which I am patiently waiting for to arrive.
