dCS Bartók: the next generation


Cambridge-based digital audio pioneer dCS has developed new firmware to upgrade the universally acclaimed Bartók upsampling network DAC. Bartók 2.0 introduces significant performance enhancements, including an update to the mapping algorithm that controls the dCS Ring DAC technology, improvements to DSD upsampling, and new digital filter options.

 

The Bartók 2.0 update will be available for installation at 10:00am BST on 31 May 2022.

Brief info about the dCS Bartók

 

The Bartók combines a network streamer, DAC, upsampler and preamplifier, plus an optional headphone amplifier, in a single chassis. At £17,750 with the built-in headphone amp, or £15,750 without, it’s the most affordable way to obtain the ‘dCS sonic experience’ with speakers and headphones; but its relative affordability hasn’t prevented plaudits from every respected audio publication.
